Our cauli mac and cheese stands head and noodles – we mean shoulders – above that blue and yellow boxed macaroni (not that we’re pointing any fingers). Made with an ooey gooey four-cheese sauce, a protein like chicken or italian sausage, and, drum roll please… cauliflower noodles – you might just fool the kids into believing it’s the real thing!
Who needs noodles with their chicken parm? Not us. We make this classic our own by mixing those high-carb noodles, and substituting in more flavour with spaghetti squash (or sometimes zucchini) to keep those carbs down. Then, to make things even more interesting, we ‘bread’ the chicken breast in bacon puffs before dousing it with our house-made marinara sauce.
Our take on Thai curry, we cook our chicken in a mild coconut curry sauce until done to perfection. But, if you’re feeling more adventurous, we can pump up the volume a bit for a little more spice. Then we serve it over a bed of cauliflower rice to really round out the dish.
This is grass fed grass finished ground beef from Trail’s End, our wonderful suppliers of all our beef. Amazing protein and a little bit of a spicy bite. Low carb, high flavour!
A beautiful cool summer salad using locally sourced fresh vegetables! An in-hose greek dressing using olive oil, red wine vinegar and lemon juice along with herbs and spices. Top it with a grilled chicken breast and you can keep it low carb and not have to heat anything up!
Got mad pizza cravings? Fulfill that wish for delivery with our cauliflower-crust pizza. Not only do you avoid dumping refined carbs into your system, you get to eat delicious pizza as well. That’s what we call a win-win-win (because pizza’s worth that extra win).Varieties available:
- Italian Sausage - House-made pizza sauce and Italian sausage topped with fresh shallots and green peppers with mozzarella cheese
- Mexican - house-made chorizo topped it with our own pico de gallo, mozzarella cheese and chipotle mayo.
- Bacon Cheeseburger - house-made, nitrate-free naked bacon with add ground beef, low carb burger sauce smothered in delicious cheddar cheese.
Broek Pork, Naked Bacon and Crystal Springs Cheese collide in one dish. What more is there to ask for? But, of course, we do give you more. We preserve all that precious flavour from the pan with a house-made pepper/dijon gravy (made from potato starch). To finish, we add the side of the week, which could be anything from Broxburn coleslaw, to broccoli smothered in a house-made cheese sauce.
Classic, meaty – delish. We substitute that carb-load of mashed potatoes with roasted, mashed cauliflower, and add in a few twists of our own in this hearty comfort food. Once you’ve got that fork in your hand – you decide which shepherd makes the best pie.
Skip the added carbs of rice/noodles and go straight for the good stuff with our stir fry – Oh my! Starting with fresh ginger and garlic we build a base of flavour before adding tender pork and sautéed vegetables, then top it off with organic soy sauce for that rich umami. But, what’s under it you ask? Cauliflower… rice!
